Projects

Projects provide a central hub for the ongoing initiatives your organization supports. They help supporters stay connected to the work they care about over time. Projects can represent a long-term effort such as a program, facility, or scholarship, and can be linked to places, campaigns, and sponsorships.

College Scholarship Fund: Inspiring Excellence  Our College Scholarship Fund is a competitive program that challenges students to demonstrate their commitment to academic and personal growth. Applicants are asked to prepare and submit a comprehensive College Scholarship Application. Scholarships may be awarded to those who present outstanding applications and have shown the determination and skills needed to succeed in college.  This fund is both a challenge and an opportunity for young adults raised in our program to rise to the occasion, prove their readiness, and pursue higher education with purpose. Through this initiative, we aim to encourage ambition, reward excellence, and open the door to brighter futures.

Empowering Women

$2,568.15 Raised 26%
Help Change Her World with our Empowering Women Project The women involved in our Empowering Women project are destitute and have at-risk children or grandchildren in their care. Donating to this cause will not only help provide them with a life of hope and dignity, but will begin to lift them and their family out of the chronic cycle of poverty.  As part of our project, these women will receive an education that includes vocational training and a micro-grant for their trade business. Common examples in our area are farming, stitching, jewelry making, weaving and selling produce from their gardens. The training will help increase their confidence, improve their livelihood and provide many growth opportunities. Our goal is to see these women start to feel empowered and hopeful for a better future, helping to lift their families and communities out of the chronic cycle of poverty.  Did you know? Women are more likely than men to reinvest their income to help improve their family's welfare. This is why this project is so important to us. Investing in a woman will not only provide for her, but will truly provide for generations to come. What better way to help end poverty? Challenge Many of these women come from rural areas and are largely uneducated. Most are widowed and have multiple children of their own, or grandchildren, in their care.  Most also live on less than $2 a day, live in a small home sharing beds and with little resources.  Our Solution Once chosen for our program, we take a holistic approach to their complex problem of poverty. First, we focus on her family. Are they receiving adequate nutrition and healthcare? Do they need emergency relief of any kind? To help stabilize her family, your donation will go towards an initial gift to make sure food is available and any medical needs are addressed. Second, we get her involved in training. We learn her interests, unique abilities and her available resources. We have teams that will meet with her on a regular basis (often weekly) and then have international teams that come throughout the year. Our training addresses not only her future business but also her personal life, family life, community life and spiritual life. Our goal is to truly support her and help her as a whole person. Third, we help her start her business or join meaningful work. Your gifts are used to provide micro-grants that will help these women start their small business to benefit her family and community. We've also learned that not every woman can start her own business but for various reasons would benefit more from joining meaningful work already started. Microgrants vary in amount due to the various businesses available.  Fourth, we connect. Women truly working together is incredible to witness. By connecting these women together, they can share their experiences, learning from one another and hopefully are eventually able to not have to rely on first-world funding but can grow individually and together to be self-sustaining and self-supporting. Lastly, we help her lead. In what areas can she lead her community? Can she eventually train other women? We help her build her confidence and empower her to train and lead others to follow in her footsteps. Thank you!  Thank you so much for your support. We believe in these women and knowing you do too, means the world. Let's help end the chronic cycle of poverty together!

Mission: Guatemala Mission: Guatemala is a project dedicated to empowering rural women by providing access to small microloans. These loans allow women to invest in sewing, livestock, looms, and gardening, giving them the opportunity to start and grow small businesses that generate sustainable income. By supporting these women, we help them provide for their families, improve local food security, and strengthen their communities economically and socially. Through the project, women receive not only financial support but also guidance and training in managing their businesses, ensuring that their investments have the greatest possible impact. Your generosity enables these women to gain independence, build skills, and create a lasting legacy of opportunity for themselves and their children. Your contribution can make a tangible difference at any level: Helper — $50, Sustainer — $100, Builder — $250, Advocate — $500, Visionary — $1,000. Each level represents a deeper investment in transforming lives, whether by supporting children at our orphanage or giving women the tools and resources they need to succeed.

By creating and supporting gardens at the orphanage, school, and local communities, we provide lasting systems people can manage and sustain.
